Peace Is Not the End Point
May 19, 2023
People often come to coaching wanting deeper connections, disciplined habits and business growth.
But before accomplishing goals, there is an important first step -
The attainment of peace.
Only from peace can we move forward.
If I was to highlight a simple flow of transformation for growth-orientated individuals, it would look like this:
- When the world is happening to you, what you need is peace
- When the world starts happening for you, what you need is vision
- When the world starts flowing through you, what you need is alignment
- When the world becomes you, what you need to do is share it
These steps align with the 4 levels of consciousness.
Coaching is not about solving problems, it’s about transcending them.
I was recently working with a seasoned entrepreneur who had attained peace of mind - they felt good.
They were smiling randomly, connecting deeper and becoming disciplined with their habits. So, when I challenged them to create a vision they looked confused and furrowed their brow.
“Why? I feel good right now”, they resistantly said.
“3 reasons”, I replied.
Behind every desire is a desire to feel good. But, according to self-determination theory, there are three main drives that our soul craves:
1) Expansion, growth or mastery - you love to get better for the fun of it
2) Freedom or autonomy - you will always be searching for new levels of personal freedom, this is what the Buddha was searching for and found
3) Service or contribution - “your life is not about you, it’s about the lives you touch”
You body also knows the power of having purpose because it drops your cholesterol, reduces cortisol and activates empathy centres.
If you are feeling good or peaceful right now you have an opportunity.
An opportunity to start creating a vision so powerful it expands you, sets you free and serves your people. So what is stopping you?
Creating a vision is not easy. You will naturally feel resistant, your mind will take over and you will be subject to judgement.
Where do you even start?
What you need is a process, a method and guidance to go deep into the core of your authenticity.
Around a year ago I went through multiple layers of study, courses and practical application. I scoured books, programmes and listened to mentors. After months of deep work I created visions, both professionally and personally.
Since I created these vision, the business has significantly improved, opportunities have flowed easily and I have gone through a significant beautiful transformation.
I am now creating Vivid Visions with a number of my clients too.
There is no point climbing a ladder if it is again the wrong wall and…
There is no point climbing a ladder if there is a helicopter with a trained pilot waiting to fly you to your destination.
One thing I can promise you, once you create a detailed vision, the world will look more magical than ever before. You will:
- Laugh more
- Be more grateful
- Receive inspiration
- Have more energy
- Argue less
And much much more.
